Cole picked on me and ripped my shirt. we got in a fight and I now have to work with dad on the farm for 3 months. I'm sad.

My work is over! I kissed the ground when I got to school, and then the teacher got mad at me and smacked me over the head and said that I'm a no good loser.

Answer:
1) Students without woodfire!!! more than 10 students forced to be in ¨cold detention¨!
2) The teachers of the Exigence, "the schoolmasters are asking for more than corn!!,- now to be accepted as a school member at some places required leather as exchange!!"
3) Dunce, dunces and more dunces!!,- a tall, cone-shaped hat is getting popular, used as punishment to students who forgot their lessons!!!
Explanation:
1)In winter, the students had to bring from home woodfire to warm up the teaching household, so the students that for any reason couldn´t bring woodfire from home were forced to stay in the freezing parts of the ¨classroom¨.
2) the schoolmasters ( the way to refer to teachers in the era), were normally paid by the parents with some daily resources (normally corn and other grains), the journal entry was ironical, referring to a supposed ¨high tier¨ school where the teachers were asking for leather or fur, that were expensive resources in those times.
3) The ¨dunce cap¨ was commonly used on those times when a student forgot or cannot learn a lesson, they were placed in a corner, with a cone-shaped hat, a cruel punishment, without mentioning the physical ones.
