The most Americans see as a disadvantage of globalization is that jobs move to cheaper labor markets.

O globalized world is a world with tighter connections and interdependence among countries of the whole world. The world is more and more globalized thanks to the advances in technology and constant interaction of people from distante areas of the globe.

The market is freer, and so is information, bringing us all to an age of development, but that same technology might bring a lot of competition and new business to other lands. As we all know, new businesses must have an advantage to be able to compete with older ones and low prices might be one of them. So many new business will show up with many new jobs that are underpaid or not as well paid and people will take those because they need jobs anyways.

This might cause, at first, an imbalance in the market and consumers will tend to use the cheaper product or service, possibly creating a change in the market that might be a problem to those who were once well established in it.

This is how, for example, Uber hurt Taxi Drivers. In the end, new ideas and innovations might get some people out of business and that's how Americans might be affected, since jobs move to cheaper labor markets, and therefore, they'd see this characteristic of globalization as a disadvantage.
