: simplest form means exactly that. It only means that an answered can not be reduced to simpler terms and still get the same value. For example 2/4 would not be in simplest term since it can be divided by 2 to get 1/2 which has the same value as 2/4. Another example is 2* 4 could be rewritten as 8.
Also 5x - (-5) could be rewritten as 5x +5
