The mining industry is responsible for the extraction ,beneficiation and processing of these naturally occurring minerals from the earth.Although mining is advantageous to the economy it also has drawbacks or negative impacts to the environment which includes ,erosion in the environment and contamination of soil, groundwater, and surface water by chemicals from mining processes.By this the mining industry becomes a threat to the environment.
