Give it a little more time. Like, one week maybe. Then make a small move, nothing too big. I have lots of shy friends, and I can literally compare them to mice. If you sit there patiently with a bit of food or something, they'll slowly make their way to you, with small encouragements from you. But if you make any sudden movements, they'll spook and close up. Obviously this isn't the case for all shy people, but it applies to a lot of them. From my experience, you've got to make small moves, and go slow.
