The message of this piece of propaganda is to motivate American citizens to pay for war bonds in order to fund the war that was fought against the nazis during the 1940’s. The symbols seen in this poster are the American flag, Swastika (the shadow of it seen in the air by the children), and the children themselves. This poster attempts to sway the audience with an emotional pull that states “protect the children from the nazi threat” which is why this propaganda poster was created.
