Explanation:

The period of history when rapid changes were made in the means of production and new machines were invented to improve the production is known as Industrial Revolution.

During industrial revolution small workshops were replaced with production in factories and people started to move from country to the towns for better pay at the factories. It began in Great Britain in 18th century in the County of Shropshire. Shropshire had minerals such as iron ore and transport facilities such as River Severn. It led to the growth of industries near the iron bridge Gorge and the town o Coalbrookdale.

The revolution later spread to Europe, US and Americas. During the revolution new ideas and inventions were used in working of metals, mining and the transportation of goods(Railways). Canals were built to move the goods easily and Steam Engine became the main source of power, steam power replaced horses and human labour.
