When freedom and equality is given to everyone or attained by all, when it becomes natural and part of our bodies and minds and not just cheap words used by politicians, we will remember and honor the great Douglass, a former slave who suffered tremendously but still believed in a free and better world. We will remember him not with stories or words or myths; it will be through the lives he had given and the people he'd affected -- the ones that are living out his dream of a fair and free place.
