Attitude. Mary, a medical coder, overhears her coworker, Jason, making disparaging
remarks and acting with a disdainful attitude about a patient of a different ethnicity.
Mary feels very uncomfortable by Jason's remarks, and she worries that the patient
will overhear his comments. She decides to speak privately with Jason about his
behavior, but he becomes very angry and yells at her for sticking her nose in other
people's business. Mary feels she has no other choice than to talk to her manager

behavior. In medicine, one of the ethics is not to behave in a nonchalant

manner and also no form of abuse of abuse is condoned.

Since Jason didn't take to correction, it is best to report to the manager in

order to prevent further conflicts.
