Kristi has 2 ribbons that are the same length. She cuts each ribbon into 8 equal pieces. She uses 12 of the pieces to make bracelets. What fraction of the ribbon did she use?

So she cuts them so each one has 8 since there are two there will be 16 pieces

Out of those 16 she uses 12

So the fraction would be 12/16

But wait! We need to simplify it
