Solution:

We know that, the volume of a cone is:

Putting [tex]r=3,h=8[/tex], we get

[tex]V=\dfrac{1}{3}\pi (3)^2(8)[/tex]

[tex]V=\dfrac{1}{3}\pi (9)(8)[/tex]

[tex]V=\dfrac{72}{3}\pi [/tex]

[tex]V=24\pi [/tex]

Therefore, the volume of the cone is [tex]24\pi[/tex].
