Photography in the past was very grainy and wasn’t saturated with colors in comparison to today

Answer:

Past photographs are of a much lower quality then today. Todays photos are typically in color, however most or all photos taken before the 50's-60's are in black and white. There were also differently styled photos taken in the past and present.
