Area of a circle
Find the area of a circle with a diameter of 4. How do you find they area of a circle?
To find the area of a circle use the formula [tex]\large\tt A=\pi r^2[/tex] or [tex] \large\tt A=\pi \times r \times r[/tex]
Where π = 3.14 correct to 2 decimal places, r = radius, and d = diameter. The radius is half of the diameter.

- [tex]\tt A=3.14\times 2^2[/tex]
- [tex]\tt A =3.14\times 4[/tex]
- [tex]\tt A={12.56units^2}[/tex]
Therefore, the area of a circle is 12.56 sq. units
