The Second Industrial Revolution brought about numerous technological changes in the country and was vital in the improvement of the economy.

  • The Second Industrial Revolution was a period when there was rapid industrialization and rapid advances in electricity, chemicals, and steel helped in increasing production.

  • The Second Industrial Revolution helped in the improvement of the economy. There was an increase in production and this resulted in more jobs for the people and an increase in the gross domestic product of the country.

  • With regards to the population, there was an increase in the population as people from different parts of the world migrated to the United States to search for better job opportunities.

  • With regards to the transportation sector, there was an expansion of railroads, and the transportation sector was improved.
