Thomas Jefferson. The Declaration of Independence included these three major ideas: People have certain Inalienable Rights including Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness. All Men are created equal. Individuals have a civic duty to defend these rights for themselves and others. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. We are all equal it means that we all should be treated the same not but how we look or what we have but by who we are as a person. When we stand in front of god no matter who we are we are all his children and no one is treated better or worse than another we are all equal.
