Two equations, one variable. You want to find when both are equal to each other.
$25 + $4.75*(hours) = $30 + $3.75*(hours)
Solve for hours. 
$1*(hours) = $5
hours = 5

At 5 hours, it will cost the same to Waiter A as it will to hire Waitress B.
