HELP!
A scale has a percent error of 7%. The scale reads the mass of a book as 450 g. Which statement describes what the actual mass of the book could be?
Well, 7% of 450 is 31.5. The error can go either way (too much or too little) so 450 - 31.5 = 418.5. We also do 450 + 31.5 = 481.5. The statement would be
Book mass = >418.5 and <481.5.
(This could be wrong, I haven't done this much before.)
