In the modern United States, the business environment and technological advancements can resemble the late 19th and early 20th centuries. One way modern-day and the late 19th and early 20th are alike are how we come up with different things to power things. In the mid-1800s the "industrial revolution brought a major shift in energy sources with the usage of coal, mainly for steam engines, but increasingly for power plants." In the early 1900s, there was still use of coal, but, a new power source was being used more commonly, and that was oil and natural gases. "By the mid-1900s oil and gas were widely used in space heating, electric power generation, and as transportation fuels." In the modern-day, we use electricity to power things. And in 1973, the use of solar power panels was installed for houses. Solar panels are used to absorb sunlight and make energy to power the house. The strengths that are we were able to make more discoveries on technology and advance them further, for example, an energy saver, it can help you save money, just by not using as much energy as a person without it would. This can also be a weakness, some people who are more fortunate can afford to pay for a new type of technological advancement, while others cannot afford it.
