Dave lived nine miles from his school. If he rode his bike 5/6 of the distance and then walked the rest how far did he ride his bike?

If I understand correctly, Dave rode his bike for 8 miles and walked 1 mile. Hope this helps. (:

Well actually, you divide 8 by six to get what 6 parts are equal to 8 and it 1.5. Then You multiply 1.5 by 5 and get 7.5
