Here is an example of a eulogy for a dying river:
Let us remember that all things come to an end even the most beautiful and useful of things, like this river. You were once the most beautiful and useful of things to both living and nonliving things. You provided the fish a place to grow and live and the plants the water to survive. You helped form the clouds and cool the forest. But now it's over, you flow no more but our tears do. You may be dying but you will live through the animals and plants you've helped and the rain you've provided.

A Eulogy is a speech that has the purpose to praise someone or something; It is filled with positive adjectives, glorifying the subject.

Miss Philadelphia's example was wonderfully done as an example of the Eulogy dedicated to a dying river. Following, there is mine, turning out to be a sad version :(

"Dearest river, in your time we couldn't acknowledge how great you were to us. Now we are granted your mercy even in your final days, nourishing our fields for the last time.

Living under your nobility, our society flourished and grew, exploring your unlimited benefits for our own greed, as if it were infinite. Now we weep without your wisdom and dry from tears of grief and regret. Time will pass but your power will not be forgotten"
