y = 3/4x - 3.....slope here is 3/4. A perpendicular line will have a negative reciprocal slope. All that means is flip the slope and change the sign. So our slope will be -4/3 (see how I flipped the slope and changed the sign)
y = mx + b
slope(m) = -4/3
(12,-2)...x = 12 and y = -2
now we sub and find b, the y int
-2 = 12(-4/3) + b
-2 = -16 + b
-2 + 16 = b
14 = b
so ur equation is : y = -4/3x + 14
===================================
the slope on the graph is 3.....multiplied by -1 = -3
the y int (where the line crosses the y axis) is 4.....decreased by 2 = 2.
so ur equation is : y = -3x + 2
