Choose one of the following compounds; water, salt, or sugar, each is made of either two or three elements. Use a dictionary, encyclopedia, or website and look up each element for the compound. Then do the following:

Write a description of the element including anything you learn about the element’s properties: how the element smells, what color it is, what phase (solid, liquid, or gas) it occurs in, and whether it is poisonous or not. Is it used for anything in its elemental form?

(I know I put it in the mathematics section but that's because hardly any people answer in the biology one)
