Food Safety and Sanitation edg 2021 project
Develop a plan for dealing with an outbreak of food-borne illness.
1. Close the restaurant, because you don't know what food is causing it, so close up till you are told you can open back up.
2. Do not throw away any food because it might spread and become more of a problem.
3. Notify the local regulatory authority. Explain the situation clearly and honestly, show that you are willing to work with authorities to solve this and stop it from spreading..
4. Work with investigations The authorities that will look into the outbreak have the same goal as you to find and stop foodborne illness from spreading. Help them out by following their instructions and take them and the investigation seriously.
5. When approval is granted, continue operations once the regulatory authority gives you permission, you may continue to serve your customers.
Create a list of procedures for employees. Create a sample complaint form.
