There are about 12,000 grains of rice in 1 cup. Mo’s family cooked 3 cups of rice for dinner to feed 5 people. If each person got an equal share, how many grains of rice are in each persons share?

You multiply 12,000 by 3 then divide your answer by 5
12,000x3=36,000
36,000divided by 5= 7,200
7,200 are each person share.
