Quantitative approach is the use of numbers and other data for the aim of analysis and to make a final conclusion.

In this approach, numerical data is used to make decisions. These numerical data can include:

  • Tables
  • Graphs
  • Histogram
  • Pie chart, etc

Qualitative approach has to do with understanding of human behavior and it does not generate numbers like quantitative approach.

There are two main approaches which include:

  • Humanistic approach deals with the type of research that has its major focus on humans and their welfare and ways to improve on them.
  • Idealistic approach has to do with the belief that data used for research are mainly subjective and are gotten through observation which is interpreted by the researcher

Qualitative research are usually gotten from:

  1. Interviews
  2. Surveys
  3. Group study
