One of the most famous men of all time makes a very thought-provoking statement: "If you want to test a man's character, give him power." There are many possible interpretations to this one statement, but one of the clearest is that a man's true self, the way he thinks, and the way he's really made of can be tested if you give him power. Lincoln makes a splendid statement, as we can perceive today how different people treat power, some abuse it, some handle it wisely. One of the issues the world is facing right now is the coronavirus. Different leaders handle the situation differently, some states require masks, these leaders most likely care about the people and their well-being, and some states don't require masks, and these leaders put many people at risk, especially the elderly. As you can see, this is one way a person can be tested by giving him power.
