Perimeter is the sum of all sides.

working with the ratio now = 7:1

there 7 + 1 = 8

length = 7/8y

width = 1/8y

Perimeter = (2 x 7/8y) + (2 x 1/8y) = 64

1.75y + 0.25y = 64

2y = 64

y = 32

Length = 7/8 x 32 = 28cm

Width = 1/8 x 32 = 4cm
