Both lines intersect and form a right angle when they intersected each other. Non co-planar means essentially means "on different planes", but both lines do lie on the same plane. Parallel lines don't intersect at all! However lines a and d are intersecting. Skewed means neither parallel nor perpendicular (meaning they intersect and don't form a right angle).
