You can find this by setting x to 0.
So, 0 = -5 is basically 5 and 0 = 2 is -2.

b) The x-intercepts are 4 and 3.

For this problem, you have to factor the function first. It would be x=(x-4)(x-3) since -4 and -3 both add to -7 and multiply to 12, which is part of the -7x and the 12 in the equation. To find the x-intercepts, just do the same thing as I explained for a.

2) you can solve your second function through a variety of ways but I like to use quadratic formula which gets you that your x intercepts are 3 and 4
