Many immigrants who sought a better life in America were mainly attracted by a socioeconomic pull factor, that is, the objective of accessing better jobs that would allow them, in turn, to access a better quality of life.

In other words, in general, immigrants had a goal of progress when they immigrated to America, escaping from difficult situations in their countries.

Now, an obstacle immigrants faced when trying to access the pull factor that brought them to America were the cultural limitations that they had, mainly languages and religions different from that of most of American society.
