What's so wrong with the passive voice?
Well, what is wrong with the passive voice is that it hides the identity of the person doing any action. this also makes sentences longer than we need to be. But you are not the bad person just because you use passive constructions.
Why is active voice better than the passive voice?
- The subject to the active sentence shall become the direct object of the passive sentence.
- The direct object to the active sentence shall become the subject of the passive sentence.
- In addition of the switching of objects or subjects, I have added the past tense helping verb to the past tense main verb, i.e. was climbed.
