President Reagan was trying to comfort a shocked nation after the shuttle exploded and the crew was killed.


As you read the speech, annotate it for the different rhetorical devices you see.  Start with ethos, pathos, and logos but then identify other examples of devices.  Highlight the lines in the speech and write a comment identifying these devices on them on the side.  You should have at least 7 entries on this speech.  Then on the bottom of the speech explain in a short paragraph (1/4+ page) how all of these rhetorical devices help to make the speech more effective.
