Taking notes, the police officer had Julie and Rebecca explain again exactly what they found. He smiled as they got into his patrol car and took a ride to the “crime scene.” Looking down in the sand, his demeanor changed from tolerant to serious. He took pictures of the scene. Soon they were joined by another police officer, and then the officers roped off the area.
