The linear momentum is given by [tex] mv [/tex]. Here [tex] m [/tex] is mass [tex] v [/tex] is velocity of the body. Given mass and velocities as [tex] m=5,v_i=1,v_f=2 [/tex]

Initial momentum is [tex] mv_i=5*1=5 [/tex] and final momentum is [tex] mv_f=5*2=10 [/tex].

The correct answer is (A)
