You need to set the equation equaled to y, or in other words, get y by itself
Such as y = mx + b
m - slope
b - y-intercept
Example:
3x + 6 - 3y
3x + 6 = 3y
Divide both sides by 3 to get y by itself
x + 3 = y
Rearrange it to say
y = x + 3

Standard form Ax+By= C
Slope intercept Y=mx+b
1) You have to leave 'By' by itself so either add/subtract 'Ax' By= Ax+C
2) Divide by 'B' [tex] \frac{By}{B} [/tex] [tex] \frac{Ax+C}{B} [/tex]
3) That leaves you with y=Ax +C (slope form)
