All electromagnetic radiation is the same physical phenomenon.
The "types" are just a matter of how many different names we have
for radiation with different wavelengths.
For wavelengths shorter than those of visible light,
we have these names:
-- ultraviolet ... UV-A
-- ultraviolet ... UV-B
-- X-rays ... 'soft'
-- X-rays ... 'hard'
-- gamma rays
