Martin Luther KingJrfought for civil rights because he envisioned a world where black citizens and white citizens were treated equally. He realized that even victories such as Brown v. Board of Education, which desegregated schools, were not doing much to eliminate racism in the country.
Because one understood that black peoples and white peoples should be treated like equals and should be friends. So he made his I believe speech and revolutionized the big conflict between black and white people in the government
