Multiplication by 100

The concept of multiplying a number by 100 by simply; adding 2 zeros is not correct for all numbers.

This is so because although, whole number integers such as; 1, 123, 1023, and so on can be multiplied by 100 by simply adding 2 zeros;

When decimal numbers such as 1.89, 18.95 and so on are multiplied by 100, we must shift the decimal point two spaces to the right and hence, this is a more general approach to multiplying numbers by 100.
