The Mayan civilization was located in the present day countries of Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and five states in Mexico. Research each of the countries, what are they like today? Write a summary telling how they have changed since the time of the Mayans.

Most of the northwestern part of the isthmus of Central America was inhabited by people who were called Mayans. These people lived in Chiapas and Yucatán, which are now parts of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Belize and El Salvador. They still live in the same place.
