This act was passed by the Congress of United States in 1882  which

prevented the immigration of Chinese laborers/people into the country.

This act was the first that prohibited people from a particular race from

immigrating into the country and  later repealed in 1943 and Chinese

people were then allowed to enter in minimal amounts.
