Number one rule of multiplication:
Anything times zero always equals zero.
Solve [tex](-6) * 0=0[/tex]
Solve [tex]8*(-2)=[/tex]
To solve this, just multiply [tex]8 * 2[/tex] and then make the answer negative:
[tex]8*2=16\\8*(-2)=(-16)[/tex]
Solve [tex]9*(-4) =[/tex]
Use the same strategy you used above to solve this equation:
[tex]9*4=36[/tex]
[tex]9*(-4)=(-36)[/tex]
