Holden asked Sally to run away with her and reacted badly when she refused, making their meeting unpleasant. Holden is contradictory towards girls because he claims he doesn't like them, but at the same time he is attracted to and jealous of them.

What happened between Holden and Sally?

  • They met again and went on a date.
  • Holden told Sally about his problems and invited her to run away with him.
  • Sally did not accept the invitation, which caused Holden to curse at her not to hear her.

Sally was very disrespected, which made the meeting unpleasant and ended any kind of relationship that might have existed between her and Holden.

Holden proved to be a very difficult person to live with, especially about women, where he is contradictory and sometimes aggressive.
