Think of a team you have been a part of, for example, in sports or for a class project. Write a paragraph on how you went about performing the tasks. Did everyone have his or her own tasks to do? How did everyone interact? Did you face any problems while working together? Why do you think that was? Do you think that your group functioned well overall?

Answer:

Recently, I worked with my classmates on a science project. There were four of us in the group. Two of us worked together on one part of the project and the other two students worked on the other part. We all knew what we had to do. Halfway through the project, my partner decided he didn't like our task, so he did what the other two team members were supposed to be doing. I had to do our whole half of the project myself. Therefore, in my opinion, we did not work well together and it wasn't fair to me. When we got back into the whole group, my partner didn't like the way the other two students did their part and wanted the group to use his work. They disagreed. Everyone fought, we could not complete our project, and we got a bad grade. I think we did not communicate well as a group. It would have helped if my partner had told us from the start that he wanted to work on the other part; we could have all adjusted and then been more successful. Maybe if our teacher let us make our own groups, we could have found more compatible partners, and then we would have been more successful.
