THE MIDLINE THEOREM OF A TRIANGLE
This works for triangles with a Midline having two of these properties:
- The midline should be parallel to the third side
- The midline is half as long as the third side
The third side of the triangle (the one parallel to its midline) is twice the length of its midline.
Example:

(Midline) AB = 3
YW = ?
Solution:
[tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex] YW = AB
[tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex] YW = 3
YW = (2)3
YW = 6
