There will be 2,000 kcal/m² of energy stored as biomass in catfish in the pond.

What is Biomass?

This is defined as the position of an organism in the food chain and  10 percent of energy stored as biomass in a trophic level is passed from one level to the next.

This is why the 10 percent of 20,000 kcal/m² which is 2,000 kcal/m² will be most likely present in the next level.
