= Probability of A in Psychology + Probability of A in Statistics - ( Probability of A in Psychology and Statistics)
= (80 / 500) + (82 / 500) - ( 49 / 500)
= 0.16 + 0.164 - 0.098
= 0.226
The probability of not getting an A in Psychology is:
= 1 - Probability of A in Psychology
= 1 - (80 / 500)
= 0.84
