  • The vowel endings define the gender of the noun in the genitive, being O for masculine and A for feminine.
  • In the accusative singular the endings also reflect the gender, in this case UM for the masculine and AM for the feminine.
  • The accusative plural only requires that S be added as a suffix to the endings seen in the singular form.
  • In the ablative, the endings O and A are used to differentiate genders.

In this way, each of the types of sentences can be correlated according to the endings of their subjects, due to their declined forms.
