The essay must show your writing ability and your understanding of the texts. For that reason, I'm going to show you how to write it.
Essay structure
- Introduction: Present the texts indicated for reading and show the theme of these texts. You must do this directly, in a short paragraph, which manages to summarize the theme, that is, the message of the texts.
- Body: You must write a paragraph for each text. These paragraphs must be long, as they must show all relevant information about how the author of each text develops the theme through the characteristics of the text and its characters.
- Conclusion: You will end the essay in a short and objective paragraph that emphasizes the effectiveness of each theme and if the text can positively deliver those themes.

Family, memory, and security are elements desired and easily identified by all human beings. The absence or presence of these elements can cause great impacts on individuals and for this reason, these elements can be used as a basis for themes in great literary works such as "Safety of numbers" by Lucy Tan, "In An Amber Dome" by Pamela Humber, and "Window seat" by Molly McGinnis.
