What is Language Awareness?

The ability to consciously reflect on the nature of language is referred to as metalinguistic awareness, also known as metalinguistic ability. The concept of metalinguistic awareness is useful in explaining how linguistic knowledge is executed and transferred across languages.

To summarize, language awareness is critical in teaching college English writing. It can help teachers and students understand the essence of language, allowing students to learn more effectively, understand the cultural differences between their mother tongue and English, and promote the use of language more effectively.

In summary, language awareness cannot be alternative language learning, but it can benefit language learning along with the five domains of affective, social, power, cognitive, and performance.
