What is focus group?
A focus group is a group interview with a small group of demographically similar people or participants who share other characteristics or experiences. Their responses to specific questions posed by the researcher/evaluator are observed.
The primary goal of focus group research is to elicit respondents' attitudes, feelings, beliefs, experiences, and reactions in ways that other methods, such as observation, one-on-one interviews, or questionnaire surveys, would not be able to do.
Focus groups usually last 60 to 90 minutes. A focus group that lasts more than 90 minutes is likely to have too many questions or topics for discussion. The focus group should be appropriate for the group's participants.
